Description
This SIG has the potential to position oncology social workers as thought leaders in the integration of AI within psychosocial oncology care. As AI continues to expand across oncology and mental health settings, the establishment of this group is both timely and essential. It will provide a dedicated forum to critically examine and highlight how AI can enhance practice in ways that are safe, ethical, and efficient, while upholding the core values and standards that define the profession.
Goals of the AI SIG:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the current applications of AI in psychosocial oncology care, as well as its potential for future integration and innovation.
- Formulate recommendations to guide best practices for the ethical, equitable, and responsible use of AI in psychosocial oncology care.
