AOSW Relaunches Our Mentorship Program for Members
By Jill Randall, PhD, MSW, LICSW
The AOSW Membership Committee is excited to announce the relaunch of the Mentorship Program.
This free member benefit is self-service. To participate, simply update your Member Profile to reflect your interest in volunteering as a mentor, mentee, or both.
Many members have already checked the box on their profile indicating their willingness to mentor. Please review your profile! If you are not available to serve as a mentor at this time, uncheck the box. You can re-check the box when you are available.
You’ll find detailed instructions on how to participate on the mentorship webpage. There you will also find tips for mentors and mentees alike!
Our hope for your time together is to have engaging conversations and experience professional growth. Thank you for supporting the oncology social work profession and community by participating in mentorship!

Jill Randall, PhD, MSW, LICSW, a social worker and researcher, currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer care delivery research at the University of Michigan. She has worked in healthcare for 15 years, with experience in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, community-based, and a national non-profit patient advocacy organization. The overarching aim of Jill’s career is to elevate the role of oncology social workers and expand psychosocial care for patients and their families. Connections with other oncology social workers have sustained her throughout her career, and AOSW has been vitally important for facilitating these connections. As Membership Director, Jill desires to see AOSW grow and continue to be a place where social workers find enduring connections that nourish them and help them grow professionally.
