Who should attend an AOSW webinar?
AOSW webinars are for social workers, patient navigators, administrators, human service professionals and students.
What professional level is appropriate for me?
Introductory sessions typically provide information about a particular condition, treatment method or issue related to oncology social work, with an introduction to that area of oncology social work practice.
Beginner sessions are geared toward BSWs, new MSW graduates and those who are new to the field.
Intermediate sessions assume you already have some experience practicing oncology social work. They may provide a brief overview of basic information but mainly focus on expanding your existing skillset. Mid-career practitioners may find these sessions helpful, as well as more advanced practitioners interested in new skills and research areas.
Advanced sessions cover interventions to address complexities of oncology social work and influence change. We recommend these sessions if you have been in oncology social work for some time.
When is this webinar in my time zone?

What technology do I need to participate in a live webinar?
You will need a computer and, if you choose to call in instead of using your computer's audio, a phone. AOSW webinars can be heard through VoIP (Voice Over IP), meaning that a phone isn't required. You can use the speakers and audio controls oyour computer to hear the webinar.
After you register, you receive an email with a link to a page where you can view the webinar slides as the presenter is speaking. The email also includes dial-in phone number and a PIN.
AOSW's webinar platform, ReadyTalk, is compatible with Google Chrome and Firefox browsers. ReadyTalk is not compatible with any versions of Internet Explorer.
What does my registration fee cover?
Live webinar registration includes:
- one audio line
- one web connection
- one PDF of the presentation slides (if the presenter provides them)
- If you purchase CE, a quiz and an evaluation for those credits
- If you purchase a live webinar with a recording, information on how to access the recording (once available) will be emailed to you. Webinar recordings are typically available one week after the live event.
Do I have to pay online?
No. You can download an order form and mail your check or fax your order to AOSW with a credit card payment. All orders placed directly through the AOSW site are secure and your personal and credit card information is safe.
What is the deadline for registration?
Registration closes 30 minutes prior to the webinar to ensure that all registrants have time to receive and review dial-in instructions.
Where can I find my registration code?
When you registered, you received a confirmation email. The number is located immediately below your name at the top of that email.
Can I cancel my webinar registration?
Yes. You can receive a refund, minus a $10 service fee, if you cancel more than two business days prior to the webinar. You can still cancel after that, but you will not receive a refund.
To cancel your registration, call +1-847-686-2233 or email us. AOSW is not responsible for miscalculations relating to the webinar start time in your area and will not issue refunds for anyone who missed the event due to timing mix-ups.
What if I can't attend a live webinar? How do I view the recorded version?
You can purchase a recorded version of each webinar. Webinar recordings are typically posted one week after the live event.
After your webinar purchase has been processed (which usually takes two to three business days), you receive an email with a link as well as instructions to log in and access the webinar recording, handout materials, quiz and evaluation. Click the link, log in and hit enter. On the next screen, enter the title of the recording into the search box and hit enter. Click on “View Resources,” then “Watch Recording”.
After viewing the webinar recording, you can take the quiz and complete an evaluation. The quiz is automatically graded by the system. If you don’t pass it the first time, you will be given a second attempt. After scoring 75 percent or higher on the quiz and completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately print your CE certificate for the webinar recording. To do this, click "View Your Results." There, you will see a list of your completed quiz and evaluation results. Click the "Print" link under Certificate.
Can others attend with me?
An unlimited number of people can listen to the webinar with you at your location, but they must register in order to claim CE credit.
If someone else views a recording of the webinar with me but didn't attend the live event, can they claim CE credit?
No, the webinar recording and associated CE credits are intended only for the primary registrant.
Can I share my webinar login information with another person?
No, your registration entitles you to one phone line and one web connection only. Others can attend with you on the same phone line and computer, but if they want to call in from a separate location they must purchase a webinar registration for themselves.

Refunds will not be issued for technical issues.
