Who should attend an AOSW webinar?

AOSW webinars are for social workers, patient navigators, administrators, human service professionals and students.

What professional level is appropriate for me?

Introductory sessions typically provide information about a particular condition, treatment method or issue related to oncology social work, with an introduction to that area of oncology social work practice.

Beginner sessions are geared toward BSWs, new MSW graduates and those who are new to the field.

Intermediate sessions assume you already have some experience practicing oncology social work. They may provide a brief overview of basic information but mainly focus on expanding your existing skillset. Mid-career practitioners may find these sessions helpful, as well as more advanced practitioners interested in new skills and research areas.

Advanced sessions cover interventions to address complexities of oncology social work and influence change. We recommend these sessions if you have been in oncology social work for some time.

When is this webinar in my time zone?

A webinar’s listed time is quoted in Eastern time (ET).  Where possible, there is a clickable link to convert this listed time into your own time zone.

What technology do I need to participate in a live webinar?

You will need an electronic device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) with an internet or cellular connection.

After you register, you receive an email with a zoom meeting link, meeting id and passcode.  You may either click on the link provided or use the meeting id and passcode to participate

There you will be able to access the webinar recording, handout materials, quiz and evaluation for CE credits, if purchased.

Can others attend with me?

If someone else views a recording of the webinar with me but didn’t attend the live event, can they claim CE credit?

We encourage you to test your phone and computer equipment a few hours before the webinar to make sure everything works as it should. Make sure the volume setting on your speaker or phone is turned up to its highest possible level. We do everything we can to eliminate technical difficulties within our control. Refunds will not be issued for technical issues.

How and when do I get my CE certificate for a live webinar?

After the webinar ends, please navigate to your My Learning Portal under the My AOSW tab once you log into your account on our website.  This will have a line item for the webinar you’ve registered for with a “CE Exam” link on the furthest right column.  This link will take you to the quiz and evaluation.  You have 30 days from the date of the event to claim your credits.

The quiz is automatically graded by the system. If you don’t pass it the first time, you will be given a second attempt. After scoring 75 percent or higher on the quiz and completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately print your CE certificate for the live webinar. To do this, click “View Your Results.” There, they will see a list of their completed quiz and evaluation results. Click the “Print” link under Certificate.
