- Lastly, I love randomly hearing about how amazing our State Leaders are! Sending a big THANK YOU to Monique Wilson! Ashley, with Phoebe Cancer Center, bragged about how amazing you are to their community and I couldn't agree more!
Our vendors were especially active on social media, advertising their wares and giving shout-outs to some of the speakers:
- Day 2 at #AOSW2018 and we have just a few of our amazing, coveted, limited edition Oncolink salad shakers left! Great for lunches on the go…stop by booth 211 to claim yours and meet with Carolyn and Christina to learn more about Oncolink.

- At the Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW) Annual Conference, Assistant Professor Lailea Noel presented a poster on her American Cancer Society-funded qualitative study examining the influence of socioeconomic factors on timely initiation of breast cancer treatment and services. Among the key findings from her in-depth interviews with African American women living in a socially and economically isolated environment who delayed treatment initiation for at least six months: "Engaging patients in health care decision making necessitates a space where providers recognize and respect the life experiences of the patients and include this resiliency in the decision making process." #AOSW2018
Hopefully these messages give you a taste of what #AOSW2018 was all about and whet your whistle for #AOSW2019 in Tucson, Arizona.
